According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Rio Vista. The crash happened on State Road 160 near Brannan Island Road.
According to the investigators, a Nissan sedan, a Ford pick-up truck, and a box truck were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the Nissan driver traveling northbound swerved to the left and side-swiped a box truck.
The Nissan traveled northbound and struck a ford pick-up head-on. The Nissan driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead. The Rio Vista Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
