In a tragic turn of events on January 18, 2024, at approximately 7:19 a.m., a fatal head-on crash occurred on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, south of Oak Creek Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Responding to the reported collision, CHP disclosed that a northbound 2023 Hyundai Tucson, driven by a male, collided with a southbound 2024 BMW operated by a 37-year-old Tehachapi woman. The multi-vehicle accident resulted in the death of the Hyundai driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP has indicated that driver impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor in this devastating crash. Investigations are underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic fatal crash.
