In a tragic multi-vehicle accident west of Buckeye, a motorist lost their life. Three others were transported to the hospital for injuries following a multi-vehicle collision.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred on Friday near Old U.S. 80 and Salome Highway, situated in a remote section of western Maricopa County.
The severity of damage to at least two vehicles suggests a potential head-on collision. Three occupants of one vehicle were hospitalized with expected recoveries. The driver of the other vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim of the fatal crash has not been disclosed.
As of now, no indications of impairment have been identified in the ongoing investigation, according to MCSO. Traffic in the vicinity may face restrictions while detectives continue their examination of the crash scene.
