The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident that killed a woman and left others injured in Hayward on Thursday. The accident occurred at roughly 9:50 p.m., in the northbound lanes of I-880, south of A street.
According to the officials, four vehicles were involved in a collision. The force of the collision fatally injured one woman and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were injured but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
