The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported a multi-vehicle accident on Monday morning. The accident occurred in the 3050 block of FM 2920 Road, near Covington Bridge Drive. The time of the accident is not yet known.
According to the officials, several vehicles were involved in the collision. An 18-wheeler was headed west and had tried to avoid an accident. This caused the vehicle to jump into the median and into oncoming traffic. The truck then hit another vehicle head-on.
One of the people present in the second vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
