According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Contra Costa County on Monday. The crash happened on Vasco Road at around 4:19 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Ford Fusion and a tractor-trailer were involved in the collision. The driver of the Ford traveling southbound crossed the center line and hit the tractor- trailer head-on.
The officials stated that the Ford driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Contra Costa County Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The accident is still being investigated by the authorities. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
