A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred near Congress, Arizona, on Friday night, resulting in the death of one driver. The multi-vehicle accident, involving a motorcycle, took place around 7:10 p.m. on northbound US 93, just northwest of Congress.

According to a spokesperson from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the motorcycle rider inexplicably entered the southbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased rider has not been disclosed. 

The circumstances leading to the rider entering the wrong lane remain under investigation. The collision prompted the closure of the fatal crash area until approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
