1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Brownsville (Brownsville, TX)

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident in Brownsville on Thursday morning. The accident occurred on Dr Hugh Emerson Road, north of Cameron Park, at around 5:32 a.m. 

According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A grey Chevrolet Spark was headed north on Cavazos Road, going toward FM 3248 at the same time as a blue Chrysler was headed east. The Spark failed to yield the right-of-way, causing the two vehicles to crash. 

The driver of the Chevrolet was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The driver of the Chrysler was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
