Following a fatal crash in northwest Albuquerque on Saturday, an arrest has been made, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Albuquerque Police. The multi-vehicle accident unfolded near Coors Boulevard NW and Sevilla Avenue NW, where the driver of a Ford Mustang, identified as Isaiah Sena, was traveling northbound on Coors Blvd.
As Sena approached another vehicle, the driver of that vehicle mistook his actions as an attempt to race. Sena proceeded to pass the vehicle and run a red light at the intersection of Coors Blvd. and Sevilla Ave. Tragically, a person driving a Ford Edge, attempting a left turn onto southbound Coors Blvd. with a green light, collided with Sena’s Mustang.
The driver of the Ford Edge was pronounced dead at the scene, while Sena sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. Sena faces charges of homicide by vehicle and reckless driving.
