Tragedy struck Wednesday night in the Spring area as one person lost their life in a fatal crash on I-45. The incident resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes of the North Freeway for a period.
According to Houston TranStar, the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the inbound lanes of I-45 at Parramatta Lane. Reports from officials indicate that the crash involved a motorcycle rider who tragically died at the scene, and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details availabe at this time.
