The Riverside Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles in Riverside. The accident occurred on MLK Boulevard and Chicago Avenue at around 6:00 a.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. A Nissan Versa and a Kia Optima had crashed into each other. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear at this time. A man from one of the vehicles was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
