According to the New Orleans Police Department, a motor vehicle crash that took place in New Orleans, claimed the life of a woman on Saturday.
Approximately at 8:39 p.m., a vehicle that was traveling on the 8500 block of I-10 Service Road, struck a woman who was traveling on the same road. The vehicle that struck the woman escaped the scene. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
