According to the Murrieta Police Department, a woman was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Murrieta on Sunday. The accident occurred on Whitewood Road, South of Clinton Keith Road.
At around 6:45 a.m., two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time. A woman from one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
