According to the police, a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Memphis claimed the life of a person on Sunday.
At around 4:18 p.m., a semi-truck that was traveling on I-40, Sycamore View Drive, for unknown reasons, caught fire. There were two occupants, one was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to the hospital with injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
