A tragic single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a motorist on Saturday afternoon at 63rd Street and Hardesty Avenue in Kansas City. Responding to the scene around 5:20 p.m., authorities discovered a silver Chevrolet Equinox overturned.
Initial investigations revealed the driver was speeding westbound on 63rd Street, failing to navigate the curve, and veering off the road, ultimately striking a concrete drainage culvert and overturning.
The driver, not wearing a seat belt, was partly ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have yet to disclose the victim’s identity, gender, or age. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
