According to the Kansas City Police Department, a solo motor vehicle crash that occurred in Kansas City killed a person on Saturday.
Roughly at 1:30 a.m., a GMC Yukon traveling eastbound on I-470, at a high speed on Blue Ridge Boulevard, for unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle, struck a guardrail, and toppled down several times. As a result, the driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
