According to the California Highway Patrol, a person was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Imperial County. Later, it was identified that the person was driving a stolen vehicle. 

A person driving a stolen 2020 Dodge Caravan, lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons, swerved off the road, and crashed into a dirt embankment. The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
