The Georgetown Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday early morning. The accident happened northwest of Inner Space Cavern and southwest of Interstate 35 at around 4:15 a.m.
At least one person was reported to have died in the crash by the officials. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public yet.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
Due to the fatal crash, police closed Leander Road between South Ridge Circle and River Ridge Drive. Shortly after 6 a.m., the road was reopened.
