The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist on Sunday in Carson.
Approximately at 1:45 a.m., a man was riding a bicycle on the Southbound freeway at the Wilmington Avenue off-ramp. The bicycle went into the path of a 2014 Volvo and crashed into it. The bicyclist was fatally injured and was pronounced dead on site.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal collision is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
