According to the Hayward Police Department, a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Hayward took the life of a woman and left three others injured.
Roughly at 8:55 p.m., at Hesperian and Industrial Boulevards, a car with three occupants crashed into a pickup truck. The events leading up to the collision are not entirely clear at this time.
One of the passengers of the car was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 36-year-old man, and the other 2 passengers, a 9-year-old and 3-year-old girl, suffered injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
