According to the Gardena Police Department, a motor vehicle collision that occurred in Gardena claimed the life of a person on Tuesday.
Approximately at 5:40 p.m., a red Mitsubishi and a blue Ford Mustang were involved in a collision. It occurred near the intersection of Berendo Avenue and Redondo Beach Boulevard.
One of the vehicles made an unsafe turn that led to the collision. As a result, a passenger from Mitsubishi was killed and all the other occupants of both vehicles were taken to the hospital.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
