The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported a single-vehicle crash on Thursday.
The accident occurred near Harquahala Valley Road and Interstate 10, at around 6 a.m.
According to the officials, a car was driving on Harquahala Valley Road when it crossed over the interstate and crashed into the median.
There was only one person present in the car at the time of the accident.
The driver, identified only as a man, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been disclosed.
The fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
There are no other details available at this time.
