The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Yuba County on Tuesday evening. The accident occurred along La Porte Road North of Woodleaf in Challenge just after 7 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. The vehicles were a green 2500 Dodge Ram and a blue Chevy Balzer. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
There was at least one person who was fatally injured and was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim is still being investigated at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. The officials have reported that one other person was in custody for driving under the influence. There are no other details available.
