Tragedy struck on Friday in Whitewater, where one person lost their life, and another suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash. The motor vehicle accident occurred around 7 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Highway 62.
Details about the crash’s circumstances remain unclear, but emergency responders had to extricate the seriously injured individual from the wreckage. At least one person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The number of vehicles involved and the precise cause of the fatal crash are yet to be determined. The Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene to provide assistance. Authorities are conducting an investigation to shed light on the tragic incident.
