The Visalia Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at the 3900 block of West Vine Avenue at around 9:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in a collision. The vehicle was reversing out of a driveway when it hit the pedestrian that was crossing the path. The pedestrian was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. The officials have confirmed that alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
