The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle accident in Twisp on Tuesday. The accident occurred on Twisp River Road at around 11:30 p.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle was headed down the road when it lost control and left the roadway. The car then crashed into a tree.
There were four people present in the vehicle at the time of the collision. One of them walked away from the scene. Two of them were injured. The fourth was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The officials reported that they suspect alcohol to have played a role as the driver was impaired at the time of the crash. The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
