The Temple Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Thursday. The accident occurred near the 5200 block of Interstate 35 south at around 9:10 p.m.
According to the officials, a man was running through traffic on the interstate while attempting to open the doors of various vehicles. After failing to do so, he climbed atop an 18-wheeler and fell.
The man had reportedly incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
