The authorities have reported a motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a person in Tacoma on Saturday. According to the officials, a train and a person were involved in a collision.
At around 10:22 a.m., a person was struck by an Amtrak train at South 56th and Washington. The person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if there are any other injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
