The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a person in Sunnyvale on Sunday. According to the officials, the accident occurred on Highway 237.
Roughly at 1:00 a.m., a person driving his vehicle westbound crashed into a car and a tree. As a result, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. A person inside the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
