The Sugar Land Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday night. The accident occurred on Highway 6 at around 7:45 p.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A white van was headed north when the driver lost control. This caused the vehicle to veer off the road and flip into a ditch.
There were five people present in the van at the time of the fatal crash. One person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available at this time.
