The Scottsdale Police Department reported a single-vehicle collision on Sunday.
The accident occurred in the area of 94th Street and Thunderbird Road at around 7 p.m.
The officials reported that four people were injured and taken to the hospital.
One of the four people was in critical condition and later died in the hospital.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed by the officials.
The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not known if alchol or drugs played a role in the accident.
Thunderbird Road and 94th Street have been closed as the Scottsdale police investigate the crash. It has not yet been reopened and the officials have not given an estimate as to when it will be.
There are no other details available at the moment.
