In the early hours of Saturday morning, a tragic motor vehicle accident occurred in north Scottsdale. A UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) rolled over near Jomax and Hayden Roads.
Authorities responded to the scene around 1 a.m., discovering the UTV with eight passengers on board. The vehicle had rolled over, resulting in two passengers being transported to a nearby hospital. Sadly, one of the passengers, a teenager, succumbed to injuries and died at the hospital. Due to the individual’s age, their identity has not been released.
The circumstances leading to the fatal crash remain undisclosed, and authorities have not confirmed whether factors such as intoxication or speeding played a role in the incident.
The police investigation is ongoing.
