The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Santa Rosa on Saturday evening. The accident occurred on Roblar Road, west of Stony Point Road at around 5:15 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash. A Volvo SUV was headed west on the road when her car began to drift. This caused it to go into the oncoming lane where it crashed into a Toyota truck.
The driver of the Toyota was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volvo was injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
