The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Santa Ana on Sunday morning. The accident resulted in the death of one person.
At around 5:35 a.m., near Garfield Avenue, a person driving the vehicle swerved off the Santa Ana freeway in East Los Angeles and was involved in a crash. The person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
