According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in San Diego County on Tuesday. The crash happened on the southbound side, near Aliso Creek Rest Area at around 11:57 a.m.
According to the investigators, a big rig and a white Infinity QX4 were involved in the collision. The Infinity driver was traveling southbound at a high speed and collided with the big rig.
The officials stated that an unknown person suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Diego Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
