The San Diego Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred near McCain Valley Road in the rural East San Diego County community of Boulevard at around 4:43 p.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle had lost control and plunged off the side of the cliff. The vehicle fell 300 feet down the side of the cliff. One person managed to get themselves out of the vehicle with moderate injuries.
The other person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities.
