The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday morning. The accident occurred on 9th Street, near Del Rosa Drive, just after midnight.
According to the officials, a Toyota Tacoma was headed west on 9th Street when it ran a red light. A Lexus sedan was headed north on Del Rosa at the same time which caused it to come into the path of the Tacoma and the two vehicles collided.
The Lexus then burst into flames and the driver was not able to get out. She was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available.
