The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Sacramento County that claimed the life of a person on Wednesday. At around 6:00 a.m., the accident occurred near W. 6th Street and W. Elkhorn Boulevard.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time. One person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead while the other was injured.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
