The Queen Creek Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Monday.
The accident occurred in the area of Ironwood and Ocotillo roads at around 7:15 p.m.
According to the officials, a woman was walking across the street when she was hit by a car. The woman was reportedly not walking on the crosswalk.
The victim incurred critical injuries and was pronounced dead on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The identities of those involved in the crash have not been disclosed.
The fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
