In a tragic motor vehicle accident, a person lost their life early Sunday in Moreno Valley after crashing a car into a traffic light at Gentian Avenue and Perris Boulevard. The Riverside County Fire Department reported the crash at 3:54 a.m., noting that the vehicle suffered major fire damage.
There was only one person present in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
Emergency responders were able to contain the fire. Authorities have closed Perris Boulevard between Gentian Avenue and Santiago Drive for an undisclosed duration to investigate the fatal crash. At present, no further details about the incident have been provided.
