A tragedy struck Moreno Valley on Sunday when one person lost their life in a vehicle crash that resulted in a fiery aftermath. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Moreno Valley station rushed to the motor vehicle accident following reports of a vehicle fire at Reche Vista Drive and Country Road around 12:42 a.m.
Upon arrival, responders discovered a vehicle that had veered off the roadway, rolled over, and caught fire. Despite efforts by Cal Fire personnel to extinguish the blaze, a person was found near the vehicle with evident signs of death.
Reche Vista Drive between Country Road and Heacock Street was temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation. The identity of the deceased individual has been withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
