The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Monterey County on Sunday. The accident occurred on Violini Road just outside of Salinas at around 11:20 a.m.
According to the officials, a tractor was headed up a levee when it made an unsafe turn. This caused the vehicle to topple over and throw off the driver before coming to a rest.
The driver incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. No one else was injured.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
