The New Mexico State Police officers reported a motor vehicle accident in McKinley County on 23rd December. The accident occurred in the lanes of I-40 near milepost 68.
According to officials, Ruth Cisneros, who was driving a black vehicle, lost control before he swerved off the road.
Unfortunately, the crash proved fatal, and the victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Along with Cisneros, 4 passengers, all children, were seriously injured and taken to an Albuquerque hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
