The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Longview on Monday. The accident occurred on East Loop 281, just south of Highway 80. The time of the accident is not yet known.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the crash. The vehicle had been going down the road when the driver lost control and went off the road. The vehicle then went down a 30-foot ravine.
The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. The officials are still trying to piece together the events leading up to the crash.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash. There are no other details available at this time.
