The Lodi Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Thursday morning. The accident occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Watson Street.
According to the officials, a City of Lodi Public Works employee was hit by a vehicle while on the street. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear at this time.
The worker was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
