The Irving Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident in Las Colinas. The accident occurred in the 3900 block of Story Road at around 1:15 p.m.
According to the officials, five teenagers were in a Chevy Cruze and had driven to Tom Thumb where they stole and drank alcohol. The car then headed down Story Road at a high speed and lost control. The car hit a curb, went across the street, hit the opposite curb, rolled, and then hit a tree.
The passenger in the front seat was thrown from the car and incurred fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. There were two other girls who were injured and are reported to be recovering.
The remaining two occupants walked away from the fatal wreck and did not call the police. The identities of the five teenagers are not yet known at this time.
