The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Glendale on Sunday night. The accident occurred on Loop 101 just before 11 p.m.
According to the officials, a car was headed down the Loop near the Northern Avenue off-ramp at a high speed when it lost control. The vehicle went into the right side of the freeway before spinning out. It then crashed into a right-of-way fence off the side of the road.
The driver of the vehicle was the only person present at the time of the collision. He was fatally injured and pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
