The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Garden Grove on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on the eastbound freeway at Harbor Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a man and a vehicle were involved in a collision. A man was walking on the right shoulder of the freeway, heading against traffic. He was hit by a vehicle.
The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
