The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Fort Cavazos on Tuesday. The accident occurred on Interstate 14, at TJ Mills in the eastbound lanes.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. Apparently, the driver had suffered a medical episode of some sort which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The car then crashed into the left concrete barrier. The vehicle travelled several miles before coming to a stop.
The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. The motor vehicle accident, reported shortly after midnight on Tuesday, remains under investigation. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are looking into the fatal crash near the Fort Cavazos main gate.
