The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Escondido on Sunday. The accident occurred near Earl Washington and Harding Street. The exact time of the crash is not yet known.
According to the officials, the CHP had initially started tracking a yellow motorcycle. The pursuit started in Valley Centre and ended in Escondido. Despite losing the motorcycle, the officials were able to find it again near the area of the crash.
The motorcycle crashed and the driver was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
